Our equine unit provides a complete first opinion service and is increasingly being used by surrounding practices for second opinion/referral work.

We have the facilities, equipment and experienced staff to extensively evaluate, diagnose and treat the more elusive lameness, including a powerful High Frequency X-ray generator and a state of the art Digital X-ray machine.

The practice uses advanced diagnostic tools to image and evaluate the equine medical patient. From poor performance and wind evaluation with the endoscope, to weight-loss investigation with biochemistry and colic with ultrasound and clinical examination.

Continuity of care

This is essential for clinical thoroughness and the optimum care for your horse. With Delaware Equine Services, the same vet will be in control of the case from beginning to conclusion. Of course expertise will be drawn upon from other sources within and without of the practice when required but you will have the peace of mind of having the single point of veterinary contact in the management of your case. The result is improved communication and a far better horse owner vet relationship.

All visits conducted by Delaware Veterinary Group Equine Services are recorded with detailed clinical notes which can be made available to the client and are stored at the practice. In the event of the usual vet being unable to attend these records enable continuity of the care of your horse.
