Stephen Wildman, BVSc MRCVS- Partner
Steve brings 25 years of equine veterinary experience. His career began in racing practice in Australia followed by nine years in equine practice in Kent and Sussex and more recently running his own equine practice in Devon. He has a particular interest in the equine athlete, performance related issues and lameness investigation. Steve also has a wealth of experience in equine reproduction having worked in Thoroughbred and Arabian studs for many years. This includes chilled and frozen semen artificial insemination as well as embryo transfer. When Steve is not working, he is still to be found surrounded by horses! He and his wife, Amanda, enjoy breeding and producing eventers and are keen supporters of their two sons’ Pony Club and Eventing escapades!
Mike Kerby, BVSc DBR MRCVS - Partner
Qualified from Bristol. Since graduating Mike has worked exclusively in Farm animal practice, and Dairy practice since 1989. He received a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction from Liverpool University in 1994. Mike joined Delaware in 1992 from Dorset, having previously worked for 4 years in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The special areas that interest Mike are all aspects of dairy herd health and production especially Nutrition and Fertility with also a real zest for bovine surgery. He has lectured abroad as well as domestically to farming and veterinary professionals, as well as consulting throughout the UK, continental Europe and in Australasia. Having chosen Veterinary Science over Football, Mike is still a keen sportsman.
Owain Jenkins, BSc BVSc MRCVS - Partner
Owain qualified from Liverpool in 2000 and spent six years in mixed mainly farm animal practice in North Wales before joining Delaware Vets. Owain has a strong interest in all aspects of dairy farming and is hoping to develop this specialism and is currently studying for a diploma in bovine reproduction. Outside work Owain likes mountain biking, hill walking and rugby although these activities are likely to be curtailed with a young son and daughter!
Rebecca Thomas, BVSc MRCVS
Becca qualified from The University of Liverpool in 2003. She spent three years in a very rural mixed practice in her native land of North Wales and then went on to work as a large animal vet in Wiltshire for four years before joining the Delaware farm animal team in 2010. Her main interests are bovine surgery, mastitis and fertility. Her spare time is mainly taken up by walking with her three lovely Lurchers Mali, Roxy and Twiggy.
